Why you'll love this recipe
I love bringing this salad to summer potlucks! Why? Because it's so easy- and let's not forget delicious. I mean, is there really anything better than fruit and chocolate??
Unlike Apple Snickers Salad, Grape Snickers Salad can be made ahead of time and does not require as much preparation. Apples will oxidize and turn brown after they have been sliced, so extra care will need to be taken. Grapes will not oxidize, so they can go from the cutting board straight into the salad with no problems!
Ingredients
This super-easy summer salad contains only 5 easy-to-find ingredients:
- Grapes
- Snickers
- Instant vanilla pudding
- Milk
- Cool Whip
Step-by-step instructions
Get ready, because this recipe will be done and put together before you even know it! Try not to blink! 😉
Begin this recipe by combining the instant vanilla pudding and milk in a large bowl. Next, stir in the entire tub of Cool Whip.
Rinse the green grapes and slice them in half. Roughly chop the Snickers bars.
Gently fold the grapes and Snickers bars into the pudding mixture.
Voila! A masterpiece!
Tips & tricks
Chill this salad for at least one hour before serving. For the best taste and creamiest texture, refrigerate Grape Snickers Salad for at least an hour. It will also help the pudding mixture firm up.
Make sure the Snickers bars are at room temperature. This will make them easier to cut through.
Make this salad ahead of time. Prepare this dessert and store it in the refrigerator up to two days in advance.
Recommended tools
- Large Mixing Bowl. This set is perfect for all sorts of desserts.
- Whisk. I like to use a whisk to mix together the vanilla pudding mix and milk so it's smooth and lump-free.
- Silicone Spatula. Gently fold in Cool Whip, grapes, and chopped Snickers bars with a spatula.
Storage
When serving Grape Snickers Salad, it is important to not let it sit at room temperature (or higher) for longer than two hours. This recipe contains dairy and could cause illness from being left out too long!
Refrigerator: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container for up to 2 to 3 days.
Freezer: I do not recommend freezing this recipe.
